Hi, I always had version 2.3 of wordpress and making a post sticky was easy. The menu was right there when making the post, and all you had to do was click the box.

Now I just got the new version 2.6 and that feature is gone. How do I make a post sticky with this version. I have serched the whole site and can not find it. I am guessing maybe a piece of code?

Thanks Glenn

I am not sure if this is what you are after, and it is a bit of an advanced topic ... but here goes.

The Wordpress documentation has a section Static home pages (http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page).

This page addresses many way to create static content. using a single post as the first one displayed every time, you might want to have a look at the section on "Creating a mini-loop. It shows you how to address a specific post in the home page.

If you simply want to have a message that show up in the first part of the page, you may want to have a look at this plug-in (What would Seth Godin do).

One last area to address ... go to your admin control panel, select 'Settings' and 'Reading'. Here you can select any one of the Pages you have created with Wordpress and set that to you static home page as well.

I hope one of these ideas matches with your goal.
