No it takes like maximum 1/2 hour, usually it takes about 5 minutes...

But the 60 day thing is this, you cannot take that domain and transfer to another hosting providor until like 60 days are up, that may be what he is confused about....

I did this just yesterday and it took less than 10 minutes....

You will need severel things from the party you are transfering the domain to.....

    1. their customer number (they do not need to have a hosting account, just be registered at godaddy for free)
    2. their registered godaddy email they signed up with
    3. their full name first and last
    4. their address
    5. their city
    6. their country
    7. their postal code
    8. their phone number on the goaddy account

Did this process change recently? All I needed was the customer number and their registered email. They have all those other details already on file when you give them the customer number.

If someone is telling you it will take 60 days, then he just bought the domain that he sold you. You can't transfer a domain within 60 days for some reason. I would hope you didn't pay him the money yet and then have to wait 60 days to take possession of what you paid for.

Yes, it's a recent change.......... I did this yesterday..... had someone at GoDaddy walk me through the process and they were unaware of the change also, so it must have been very recent, the whole process is a 4 step process now....
