Recommended WordPress Plugins

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here so please be gentle with me!

I'm just in the middle of building my website using WordPress.

The site is bascially going to offer digital products which will be downloaded and paid via PayPal.
On the product pages, I plan to embed a short video for the product with a description and shopping cart.

I was wondering on which WP plugins I should use for this kind of site.:rolleyes:

    I'd always suggest using as few plugins as you can, by making sure each one gives a clear benefit. That said, here's a list of suggested WordPress plugins that I compiled a while ago:

    I don't know whether you've sourced a shopping cart app. WP eCommerce is a popular plugin for shopping cart functionality but I've also used ecwid and prefer it.

    I think using ecwid would be a better option for me rather than using Shopping Cart for WordPress as I hope to have a number of digital products listed.

  • Good recommendations from Abledragon. I'd like to especially recommend All-in-one SEO: I've used it on a variety of sites and it's really easy and effective for everything on-page. I also like to use the Akismet spam filter so you don't get a ton of emails every time a bot hits your pages.
