Hey all

Im just in the process of tidying up my homepage a bit. I wish to show a bit more info on the individual software versions I offer right there on the front page.

I have attached a img of my current progress, but sadly I don't think it looks quite right.

Any suggestions?

Kind Regards

P.s. To see the current site, please visit the link in my Sig.

Your pricing table needs some definition. When a user looks at it they should instantly be able to tell them apart, and know which one the seller recommends. Try looking at PatternTap for some inspiration. Also, if you look at my sig there's a link to 'The Gutenberg Diagram' look that up, so you can use your design to increase your conversion rates.

You have a typo in the Standard Edition - second line "comtains" instead of "contains".

You could make the Pro version a Gold header in the box to make it more "valuable".

      Or go with color ranges:

Light = a basic black as you have it
Standard = a good blue, like hyperlink text blue perhaps
      Pro = Gold

I don't think I'd try to add images as it might detract from the offer.

        A few things I noticed:
        • Your layout grid is just a wee bit off in several places. On the left side, more than the right side, and just by a few pixels.
        • You also have some alignment issues in your header and footer navigation.
        • The pale green color you're using in the pricing table is hard to read on the white background.
        • I like the way your download button breaks the grid. It draws the eye for sure, but I'd like it to move a little further to the right, I think.
        • You should align your RSS/FB icons to the right of the grid.
        • I would recommend some different typography choices. Something with a little more personality than Arial...Cantarell maybe? Droid Sans? Something to give those headlines a little pizazz. Check the Google Font directory.

Just some food for thought. I really like the over-all look. Clean, simple, and effective. Nice job.

EDIT: And if you're thinking about icons for the packages, try bronze, silver, gold medals perhaps?

Most of the stuff you mention I can agree with, the navigation is off due to the fact that I have to make the whole page smaller (ctrl -) to take the screenshot, so this won't ba an issue when the site goes live

The typography issue is somewhat troubling for me as well. Though I think I have narrowed the problem down to a localhost-firefox problem. I have attached a copy of the site from internet eplorer where the text is much nicer.

I'm considering adding some sort of icon/image into each box, but how would you illustrate light/std/pro editions with icons?
