Need help setting up site!!

Hello fellow warriors. I just got thru setting up my site/blog....downloaded

WP and signed up with Hostgator. I have my template, but now I am stuck. I searched wordpress.org for info but all the info seemed so technical. There are a few things that I need to do,

like change the header, add plug ins....I guess I need alot of help. I am really excited about my new site/blog. WWW.Thehappycooksblog.com is

my new site. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated.
