Where to Host & Stream SWF Flash Videos For Free?

I have a SWF flash video, thats about 29 mb large, and its on my website, it will work on my webpage, but it takes way toooo long to download to my webpage.

Any idea of where is the best place and the cheapest place I can stream this type of video from so that it runs almost immediately when my webpage loads?

I would prefer a free solution, but if nothing free the cheapest would do?

Any ideas? I only have 2 at the most videos to stream.....

    Hey there Steve,

    You might have 2 different issues regarding the quick load time of your videos.

    One could be the hosting but the other might be the video itself. Depending on how you have it rendered (bitrate for example) it can take forever to load and begin playing in your visitors browser or it can (and should) load within a second or 2.

    But one thing at a time...

    My recommendation for the hosting is Amazon S3

    For a couple of videos at around 30-50 Mb each and lets say you have 1000 or less viewers each month, you might have a monthly bill of around 3 to 4 cents. Yea...its that inexpensive.

    If you want to learn more about Amazon S3 and my favorite (Free) tool you'll need to get the files from your computer to your S3 account, head over to Cloudberry Lab.com CloudBerry S3 Explorer - Freeware Windows Client for Amazon S3.
    Here is a link to their page that has the freeware version of Clouberry Explorer and a few video tutorials I made that will show you how to setup your S3 account and how to use Cloudberry Explorer.

    On the right side of the page you'll see a link for "Product Video", click that link to view the videos I mentioned.

    Give this a try Steve and I'm sure you will see an improvement in the load time. But like I said, the way your videos are produced (rendered) will also have an effect on the load-time.

    1) livestream.com
    2) ustream.tv
    3) justin.tv
