how to load multiple websites

I have a question about uploading websites. I uploaded a website (fatbinderinfo.com) to my server and when I put the domain in my browser my other website (a forum) came up. I then put my website in a folder and named it site9 just to see it if that would work and now I have to put fatbinderinfo.com/site9. I would rather only have to put in fatbinderinfo.com. Can anyone tell me how to do this. Thanks.
Rhonda

    Hi Rhonda,

In your root directory is the file index.php, this is the forum index. Delete this and make sure that the fatbinderinfo.com index - index.html - is in your root and your problem is solved.

Check .htaccess too - if you have one

You should rather move that forum to another folder, and if you use it with the main site, simply link to it. Or even better and simpler just rename the forum index.php and change whatever external or internal linking you have to it.

You should be able to leave the forum where it is and leave your new site in the site9 folder and just change the domain name fatbinderinfo.com to point to fatbinderinfo.com/site9.

It would be better to place each site in its own folder with a meaningful name and point the domain to each folder as the root though.

Looks like you have quite few great responses. If you have not solved your problem yet, I can recommend a great FREE ebook by Chris Farrell that may help you fill in all the blanks and get it all working for you. You can find his book at chrisfarrell-online.com. Just thot maybe you could use a recommendation from someone who is just learning how to put all this togehter as well.
