Question about editing graphics

Hello, I'm having trouble with a program called "Graphic Expert in a Box" by Liz Tomey. This program allows you to create ecovers and boxes.

I bought it a couple of months ago, and found out that it used "Photoshop" which I don't have. I am able to open the psd files up in "GIMP", but am unsure how to edit it using GIMP.

If someone can help me, I will give you a copy of the Graphic Expert so that you can look at it and see if you can figure out how to work it using GIMP.

    i properly can not help you with your problem with Liz's software but i can show you how to make a e-box by using gimp. It is actually quite easy gimp is the only graphics software i use.

    I have a tutorial video on how to do it on my new graphics forum which should help you out a lot.

  • Well as it is a psd and Im sure one of your main concerns is editing the type as opposed to the graphic as a whole you are going to struggle to do that without learning the GIMP as the GIMP doesnt format text layers the same way photoshop does, it rasterizes them meaning you might as well make a new text layer and dont save it because it ****s up the psd

    • good point about the psd format how ever if you delete the text layer using gimp then use gimps text tool and replace the text. Now when you come to save it use the save as and remove the psd at the end. Gimp will now use its ext at the end xcf. Now when you come to edit the graphics gimp will acknowledge the text layer as a text layer.
