I really dislike the footer codes that are showing up in WP themes atm

does anyone have a clue how to change them?

    Yeh, don't download illegal themes I guess.

    People take paid themes, add base64 footers and then upload them freely to torrent trackers or web sites.

    I guess if you know how to decode base64 you can get rid of them or just buy the original template.

    Yes it's annoying, but if you know how to decode encrypted footer then you will not have any problem of it. But... It's unethical to decode encrypted footer.
