Need Quick Wordpress Redo

I have put up this wordpress site, took 3-4 hours but would like a more fancy top/bottom header.

Can I get some wordpress warrior design fanatics give me some idea what they can do with this?

    There is basically NOTHING to the site! The blatantly obvious suggestion as to what you should do for the site is add more CONTENT

    My guess is that you expect to add content and such so I'll stick to the presentation aspect you requested feedback about.

    1. Get a nicer header made from someone skilled at graphics for IM. PM me if you need a referral.
    2. Think about a slightly more interesting background that is not busy and only helps to draw attention back to the content. The solid and somewhat intense blue draws attention to itself more than to the content.
    3. Consider complimentary or coordinate colors. There are many places to get palates. try adobe's

    kuler for starters.

    4. If your WP theme does not support much flexibility for design consider hiring a designer (PM me for referral) who knows IM or just buy a premium theme that has most of the flexibility and functionality built in.

    Also if I was you I'd download the video clip and edit it to remove the mention of Searchstories at the end then upload it again (if Google allows you too, I'd assume there isn't any copyright being broken here as you did "create" the content yourself? Sort of. Anyway, you should double check), would thus make your clip look a little more "professional".
