  • Try using a WordPress site theme. You may have better results for yourself. Very clean and easy to use results I might add. Most people only think of the blog look, bu they are limited in vision. You can do so much more.
  • I recommend WordPress for the huge community and lots of willing support for it. You can accomplish almost anything with a plugin in minutes. You can put up a fully designed custom theme in minutes. It's hard to go wrong.
  • Hi,
I think you are not expertise in using joomla Cms everything which you search for is inside it so search it in your code and google you will definitely find it
  • i recommend dreamweaver, but if you cannot afford it, you can try the following software work just as well: nvu, seamonkey, kompozer. these software are free and easy to use.

  • I think dreamweaver is the best software for designing the website. As it has all the latest features and supportability with all other languages also. So it is very easy for the coder also to make use of it. As now many website designers make use of this software to create their website.
  • Dreamweaver is fine for you.
  • If you know some HTML/CSS try learning some Javascript also.
It will add a lot to your websites.
  • Dreamweaver and wordpress - these are the two leaders. You need to get the hold of them.
  • joomla, PHP, wordpress is the very best web software its my suggestion meet you again....

    • Wordpress is the easiest to use and easy to SEO
  • It seems like everybody is using WP nowadays. I like them, too, and have a few sites built with it. I just found "Site Spinner" though, and for actual websites, I LOVE it. There was a teeny bit of a learning curve, but if you're used to site builders in general, it shouldn't take you long to figure out. See my site in my signature for a new build I just put up this morning to replace an older version.

Oh, PS-they have a 15 day free trial so you can make sure you like it. And the actual purchase price isn't bad either.
  • I give you two suggestions Wordpress and Dreamweaver these are both good. Its depend on you which one is profitable for you.
  • one word for you..wordpress, the themes are wonderful..

  • Joomla is not a software but you try WordPress
  • Depends what kind of site you want to creating, what your requirements are and what your budget is...
I use content management scripts myself, like: phpfox, subdreamer, interspire article manager (commercial), and joomla (opensource)
    I recommend dreamweaver for this.
  • I recommend to use Dreamweaver and Drupal or other CMS like word press and Joomla
  • I recommend dreamweaver and wordpress for content management scripts like: phpfox, subdreamer and joomla (open source).
  • As a professional designed I would not recommend using Wordpress. The fact is unless you are using it for a blog, you will find extreme limitations. Joomla versus Wordpress is like comparing apples and oranges, they are two different beasts. While many have modified Wordpress to suit there needs with plugins and core hacks, it is after all a blogging platform. Joomla is a complete CMS architecture, however, you usually need to know your stuff before delving completely into Joomla. Although depending on your site, the new version 1.6 is extremely fast and comprehensive. If you are running a site that is ecom based, Magento all the way... OSC is nice too
  • wordpress and Studiopress unbeatable

  • From reading through this thread it seems like the overall tone is "Dreamweaver vs WordPress". At least those seem to be the most popular alternating suggestions.

But to me this feels more like an Apples to Oranges scenario. Dreamweaver is more of WYSIWIG site design tool while WordPress is a website Platform. One designs the site while the other actually "houses" it.

I think a more apples to apples comparison would be something like "Dreamweaver vs WordPress+WYSIWIG-Style-Theme". In other words WordPress plus a WordPress Theme that provides WYSIWIG style options allowing you to style your site similarly to Dreamweaver.

There are actually quite a few WordPress themes out there that offer this, some more comprehensive than others, but they're out there.

I think the huge draw people have to WordPress is the fact that pretty much ANYONE can use it. With one-click installs from your web host to the super simplified content management tools, it's just hard to beat.

And for that who say it's not for "Professionals" I'd have to disagree. I mean, I hear what you're saying and there are certainly some limitations, but for 95% of sites on the Web today, WordPress, especially in the right hands, can deliver.

Also, most people that are asking these kinds of questions (at least in this thread) are looking for easy to use, intuitive solutions that will allow them to create professional looking sites. Something like Dreamweaver may be able to execute amazing results, but I just think WordPress can do so much more (especially with the Right WP Theme) in the hands of those a step below expert.

  • I have recently started to use XSitePro to make my websites. There are plenty of other website design software's out there but I think sometimes people are using software that is far too complicated for their ability. If you are a beginner or even intermediate and you just want a website and are not too interested in learning how to code then I would definitely recommend XSitePro. There are loads of templates to pick from and loads of simple to follow Wizards for adding items to your site.
  • Joomla CMS is a complete architecture, however, you usually need to know your stuff before you dive into Joomla. Although according to its website, the new version 1.6 is very fast and complete.
  • Wordpress is definately the best platform to design and host your website. easy to use and plenty of plugins are available for free to enhance your webpage. also very good in terms of search engine optimization.

There are other platforms as well but if you have never tried wordpress i would give it a go. You will not be disappointed.

I personally don't use anything else to design my webpages at the moment.

I do occasionally use dreamwever to design a single sale page, but as far as building websites, wordpress is definately the best.
  • I know it has been said, but I concur, go and learn Wordpress.
  • you can try wordpress if you not having knowledge of coding. it has lots of free and premium themes and plug-in.
  • Wordpress is the common choice,it has powerful and easy-operation free plugins or themes to ensure your site running
  • Wordpress the best solutions
