Using a different font?

Hi,

I am designing a site, but want to use the font that is not one of the "safe" fonts in the design (for the buttons, and content text if possible etc.)

What options have I got?

It would be bad practice to have all the site text as image, I have heard of methods to make fonts work, but I dont know where to start and what sort of limits are upon me (not working in certain browers!)

Any help would be much appreciated!

You can use whatever font you want. You can make them a graphich and overlay them over the button as well. It is done all of the time. Do you want your button fonts to be crawled or something?

if i were you i'd use 'safe' fonts.
when using image option i'd make sure to have alt text for images. (e.g. buttons)

major text content as image is BAD i think...

Using safe fonts is always good from Search Engine point of view. using font as icons or graphics will definitely look good, but wouldn't perform to the expectation in search engine results...

Always use safe fonts but if you want to try something different it's your own choice tho
