Design a mockup in photoshop

Hi,
I would like to create a PSD template. I have a question. Is there a difference to use the "rectangular marque tool" or the "rectangle tool" to create a block?

For example to create a block for the header or the footer. Which one do you recommend? Is a matter of taste?

I would be grateful for any help! Thanks!

    Yes, it's more or less a matter of taste.
    Unless you get technical then the rectangle shape tool provides more advanced features like Masks, but that is not necessary for Web mock-ups.
