Reduce + Shrink Image File Sizes?

Hi Warriors,

Hope you're all having a great holiday season and looking forward to a successful 2011.

I have recently just finished building my first batch of banners for an Adwords display network campaign.

I have saved the banners as .gif files and went to upload them today. Unfortunately 6 out of 8 banners are above 50kb. I wondered how I could go about reducing their sizes? without affecting the quality of the banners too much?

It feels quite frustrating at the minute as I am so close to getting the banners done/so close to setting up the Adwords campaign, and yet I feel so far from success at the same time!

If some one could help me out, I'd be ridiculously grateful to you!

      Photoshop > File > Save for web option works the best!

        If you use photoshop you can select the image quality of the image when you save the photoshop image as something like a jpeg.

    I use this handy little Tool, to resize pics, see if this helps ya,

    Depends on the type of image:
    Gradients and many photo-type images will look horrible if you export to .gif; Exporting to .jpg is often much better.
