Wordpress: How to hide post in frontpage?

Hi,


I write new post, but I don't want to show it on frontpage so all can see who come to my main site. So I want to share this post or link only with few people which I send them direct link?


So what's the best way to do this?

  • Just before you hit publish in that same section there should be an option that says visibility: public and a link that say edit.

    Click edit and then you can change it to private, so it won't show up on you main page.

    I think that should work.

    • One more thing, even though it is now private that page may still be indexed, so if you are using Platinum seo pack click the noindex, nofollow option, there should be a simlar option in All in one SEO too.

  • Hey, guys, that is NOT the solution. It's a misleading post, sorry.

    Only logged in authors and admins can see any private post. Even if you send direct link (aka permalink) to it - nobody can see it except you
