Currently, my site is a blog i.e when you go to example.com, it displays the latest post and has a blog look.

I want to create a static page for the home page (i.e example.com is like a normal website) with one of the navigation tab for 'blog' (i.e example.com/blog contains all my posts)

My question is do I need to move my wordpress currently in root directory to a new directory called 'blog'?

Btw, I'm using headway theme.

Thanks in advance.

No you don't need to do anything.

I'll tell you how exactly you can display all posts in the site/blog/ format.

    1.Go to Settings

    2.Go to Permalink

3.Change the structure to include "blog/" at the beginning.

Now the rest of the URL can be set as you wish.

Also, for the home page go to :

Settings -> Reading -> Select the page you want to display as the home page.

Since you are using wordpress, simply go to the settings tab and click on reading. When the page displays you can choose a page from your site an mark it as your front page. Let's say you have a bio page, you would use that as your front or start page. Then create a blank page named Blog and choose that one as your posts page.
