Wordpress Menu Problem

I am having a problem with a theme that I really like for the website I am creating. However, I am having a problem with the menu's. Whether I create a custom menu or rank pages with subpages set with a parent of a larger page, the menu will not stay on one line. I am hoping this is just a simple edit of the stylesheet. The menu starts out as this:


Home About Page 1 etc.

When I either add a page and set the parent to Page 1 or create a custom menu with the same idea applied the result is this:

Home About
Page 1

Could someone point me in the direction of how to solve this issue?

    put it in the class or id of the menu.

    No. Nobody can give you any useful advice without knowing which theme you are talking about and without seeing the code (html and css).
