 Hello All,

I've got the biggest screw up of all time I think. I made a site with wordpress, and got ranked like 8 or 9 for the search term, but I screwed up the site, and had to re-install wordpress on my server, and re-do the site.

Now, if you can believe this, the original wp site url is now ranked #1 for the search term, and it comes up 404 site not found. The Number One Spot??? Of all the worst luck!!

Can anyone tell me how I might be able to fix this?? the new wp site has the same url, but does not load the original page when you click the Google link ??? only 404 site not found???

Help Help!!!
Thanks
Frank

Wierd..If they are using the same URL...then the new site should come up...or maybe it is a cached page...but still...totally..WIERD and unlucky for you.

Maybe google's cache needs to be updated? I really don't know. You could try contacting google on this matter.

the new wp site has the same url,
Kinda doubt that... e.g.: www. example.com and example.com are NOT the same URL for the search engines.

What happens when you type the url directly into your address bar?
What are the privacy settings in your new blog?
There could be a lot of issues - and without seeing it is just guessing, nothing helpful.
