eBook cover design

Hi! I'm new to the forum and fairly new to internet marketing. I'm wondering if you can tell me a good place to get a basic eBook cover designed. I want it to look good, but also want it very affordable (I know that's vague). It's on meal planning, grocery shopping on a budget, eating healthy, etc. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Thanks! I have done some of that and might just end up going with someone from that, but wondered if anyone had used someone that they were happy with in particular?

The best thing I have found for creating ebook covers is ECover Pro. It is a plugin for Photoshop.

If you are not familiar with Photoshop, it might be too steep of a learning curve though. In that case, I would recommend hiring out the work to someone like Stephen above. I have paid for more than few designs in my time and his fee is very reasonable. He also states that you don't have to pay until you are satisfied, so sounds like he stands behind his work. (And no, I do not know him)

    Great, BJradioguy,

I made mines with the POV ray, a free 3D software (by hand!) and they are decent, but you definitely need to be a GEEK to use the software. And also you need to design the 2D covers first in Photoshop or Corel Draw.

    Hey, (Jamie?)
Unfortunately I don't know of any better way to create high quality cover graphics than to design them in a high-end program like Photoshop CS3 or 4. I use photoshop myself to design professional covers for my clients, which may be of help to you.

I'm about to run a WSO here in the forum for this service I provide - my site is at www.TrustyCovers.com. The offer will be greatly discounted in the WSO, but if you're interested now I can do it for a little less for you only.

If you're interested in getting a very professional cover graphic you can email me at

    questions [AT] trustycovers [DOT] com

(just replace the [AT] with an @ sign and [DOT] with a . sign

    Take care!

Download a "Free" copy of Gimp, and learn to make your own custom designs. Might sounds silly coming from a graphic designer, but you'll never have to depend on anyone for designs ever again - and they'll always be 100% original!

I designed my own product covers, but I did use this program called Box Shot 3D that was REALLY easy to use, I think I paid like 10 bux for it or something too, it was worth it.

I personally use eCoverSuiteElite...It just one of those things, you know, it just works great. You do need to know a little about design layout though before you get it, but that's easily learned, no big deal.

If you're looking for images for your ebook cover (meal planning, grocery shopping on a budget, eating healthy) You should check our Stock.xchng. It's can come in pretty handy.
