I have about 100$ to invest in a wordpress template,so what would you recommend?

btw is thesis any good?

I use Socrates. It's under $100 for unlimited use. Also has all the whistles and bells. Easy to use ... even for a complete newbie.

Highly recommend.

  If you're looking for inexpensive high-quality themes I recommend checking out Themeforest.net.
  
  I think they have the latest and greatest themes and good support too, all for around $35 a theme.

Hi Michael,

Thesis is good but you'd be short I think if you go that route since the fastest route to developing a website would be thesis + customizable premade skin. You can check out these two sites for a cheaper option:

It really depends of WHAT you want the theme for.

But Thesis is a good paid option... Just keep in mind (free) themes as K2 and Atahualpa.

I found Socrates theme to be pretty nice, also the elegant themes are looking good and aren't that expensive. But then again, these themes are premium, they offer a bit more features than others. If you are only interested in simple good looking themes there are a bunch of free ones too.

Hello Michael,

I've been using the Headway framework. It has a built in visual editor with drag and drop that makes putting up sites fast and easy. Its SEO ready out of the box and of course you could add in your own SEO plugins as you see fit

I highly recommend gabfire themes if you are looking for a site with a lot of widget and ad areas. Also, the support forum is simply amazing in case you want to customize your theme as well.
