PSD ? How do you set up a site with PSD?

Yeh there are tuts online on how to do this but im not sure how good the results will be. If the PSD is well layered you shouldn't have any problems but if it's badly done you might want to look at getting a web designer to convert it for you for a small fee.

Search PSD to HTML, there are a bunch of them pretty cheap. They come in handy for front end guys and template designers. As a front end guy myself slice and dice is not that difficult but as someone else already pointed out you have to have a proper layered PSD and a pretty decent grasp of the process. there are tons of tutorials if you are adventurous!

I have just found out that some template are in PSD and they are very beautiful. but how can I set up a website with a PSD template. I am only familiar with wordpress. Help me here please. if you have any free ebook that I can use to learn this, I would really appreciate it. where in the cpanel can I upload the PSD TEMPLATE?

the psd just for design you can do the design in photoshop cut and copy the style and use the html if you rae good in flash you can export the psd in flash good luck

Hi there!

With the .PSD you have a great start...but it's a start. You'll need to slice it up and convert it to Wordpress theme scripting and then upload the custom-created templates to your server and configure it from there within the WP Admin Panel.

You could spend time learning to do it yourself and work on it until you get it the way you want it. Or you could hire a designer to do it in a fraction of the time (and fraction of the cost if you value your time).

I specialize in creating custom Wordpress themes and have been focused on Wordpress for a year now. But it took a couple months and a serious commitment to learn how and then become comfortable with it.

Try to study some tutorial for dreamweaver. W3C school is a good start.

I dont understand why people recommend Dreamweaver to setup their websites. Yes dreamweaver is good for people who dont have any knowledge in html and css. But instead of spending time in learning how to make sites in Dreamweaver, it would be better if you learn HTML and CSS. If you even spend 2 days going through the HTML and CSS tutorials, you can start developing websites using them.

Just a suggestion for the newbies.

yes. PSD.. me also creating site design using PSD format first and convert them once i finished the design. convert the PSD into HTML. slice tool is very common tool to export slice images from PSD and use it this images for HTML. you can read some tutorials converting PSD to HTML on the net
