Which Minisite Designer can you recommend?

The sites you've mentioned are pretty easy to do but commission-crusher.com is a different thing that i can say is well designed site but too many images it takes a while to load them all. I can recommend my self

Honestly, in my opinion as a designer, there's nothing special about those minisites at all. They're also waaay overloaded with images and load slowly.

Usually a minisite designer does not format the sales copy. Which is really what the minisites are. They are more of a long sales letter, with lots of clickbank proof graphics and other images. The design of the minisite itself is elementary and simple.

Formatting the sales copy, organizing and designing all the graphics is not a normal thing a designer would do, unless you paid them EXTRA to do it.

I personally would not touch a minisite sales page that someone wanted designed like those, UNLESS the sales copy was already written, and the client had a good idea of how he wanted it layed out. Meaning the headlines, subheadlines, and what type of images he wanted etc... And was able to communicate his ideas in a manner that was easily understood.

For a sales page like that, I would charge no less than $500.00 to do the minisite design, and format all the sales copy, and create all the images that would be necessary.

uhm... to be honest...

these are not the results I hoped for

I dont need a Webdesigner who designs only traditional Websites, I need a experienced Minisite-Designer like the one above

and actually you guys didnt even give some examples of your work...

So guess what I still got the same problem...

I'm looking for Minisite Designers like Dave Najavich from extremewebgraphix.com, who does a perfect job, but the prices are a bit too expensive for me

Is there really nobody who can tell me who designed commission-crusher.com? :/

I literally just got back online yesterday after handling with a crazy darn flu and seeing people like my work makes me feel good

I'm the graphics designer of that site (I only did the template design, not the sales letter formatting).

Steve < no offense bro, but it's pretty difficult to have huge designs load fast on slow connections. And frankly, not sure on your connection but CC loads fast on the connections I tried it on and altho they're not slow they're not the fastest either...

Alex, Hey, no offence meant, nor taken.....

I've seen lots of your designs, and because at times you were so busy designing, I've gotten work from some of your clients who couldn't wait in line with you. So, I know people like your work or else you wouldn't be putting them on hold.......

I like your design style also, and honestly I take what I can learn from anyone and anywhere.

You and I both know that when someone wants to have that many images loading on their site, it will load slow.

I promise I was not making a poke personally at you about the speed/loading times, because it's un-avoidable with minisite designs as the ones in question. It's just the OP, may have been confusing the design with the sales copy formatting, thinking that they are done by the same person, and part of the design, and designers job, thats whay I was getting at....

Its the client who wanted all that crap (which probably helps them sell their product, if someone is willing to wait for it to load) thats at fault for the slow page.....

Once a page is cached on your computer it always loads fast, but if all traces and memory of it is cleared, it usally loads slow again, as if its the first time loading, and from then on, it will load faster. Of course you probably knew that..... but some people may not.

I didn't create the sales letter formatting on CC as I wasn't feeling right (as I said I had the worst flu ever in my life!) but I was supposed to do it. And altho it's not really what a designer is supposed to do, I think it's also the best for the actual site that the designer does it. Simply because this way you can implement your idea over the whole design and make it flow nicely. You'd be amazed how often my designs are broken by the owners that don't know how to design and ruin the page with their graphics. I usually try to see how a site looks after it's done and send my advice regarding the sales letter formatting to the client so the site gets better looking. And by better looking I mean converts better

And yes, as you said, it comes with a price as it's not easy work altho it seems like that in the eye of the owner most times...

So, how long were you sick? Interesting that someone found a site you designed recently so quickly..... must have got sent out in an email blast?

I agree the sales letters like that can make sales, but to me, they are so scammy and hypy, and honestly in my opinion, just flat out lies most of the time.

I really hate to be involved designing anything that I believe is not credible, so I pick and choose my clients. I have no problem turning down money if someone wants me to do something that is against what I believe is honest and right.

And yes, formatting like that, takes a long, long time, and as stated above, I would not touch it unless the money was right.

One thing I have noticed since I have been doing this is that soo many people do exactly what they should not do, hoping to generate sales and credibility. They skimp on the graphics side of things, and just put up something that does not even look credible.

Honestly, if you are trying to sell something, and you have 2 choices, unprofessional looking graphics and professional looking graphics, why would you choose the lesser to represent yourself, product or service? It's not like we charge an arm and a leg to design things, when you look at the big picture. If they really have a credible product that will sell for months to come, they will make their money back with the small amount they invested upfront to make their sales page look nice.

Who knows, maybe one day people will catch on and then we will have waaaaaaay too much work........

Hate to recommend myself but because nobody else is doing it for me i'm going to go right ahead and recommend myself as a pretty decent designer - definitely not cheap - but certainly affordable - and for what you get i think its good value for money.

It was done mid January or so I think. CC is a product pushed by many people so I think that's why people heard about it so fast.
