I want to upload some videos to use on my website. Lets say

/uploads/videos/

I want the files there to not be able to be downloaded. I have changed the /uploads/ and videos/ folders to where they can not be browsed in a browser. However if you are able to get the exact file location you can still download it.

I even tried to password protect the folder but for some reason that wasn't working.

If not, is there a script that will allow me to hide the URL of the source video from being shown in 'view page source'?

I don't know if it will help but I'm using flowplayer with wordpress... thanks

I think you could do this s2 member (free wordpress membership plugin). I believe it can protect specific folders. So for example, if I type in the url of your video. I'd be denied and asked to log-in.

Even if you don't want to start a membership site, at least it could prohibit access to certain areas of your site.
