I'd advance a step...if the web site name is really nice, sell the domain. As for hosting, you can try to resell it to family and friends...

If your hosting has CPanel use Fantastico to install WordPress. Find a theme at that suits your domain. If you need help using WordPress there are tutorials all over the web and on YouTube.

Next step is to find a way to make money with this domain. This forum is probably the best source of information for that. Learn about Affiliate programs and AdSense. Look into article marketing and AdWords to get visitors.

Sorry if this answer seems a bit vague, there is so much to cover here. If you need help please let me know, I'd be happy to assist you.

I'm assuming you don't have a site. Figure out what you want from your domain and make a site. I use Web Expressions2. It's got a 30 free trial. It's not that cheap and it has a learning curve. There is typically a free website creator in Cpanel or fantastico. It will get you started, but I don't like those kind of site builders. Once you know what you want from your website and how you can monetize it, you can sketch the design and get started (or you can hire someone like me to do it for you)

OK...looks like you received some good comments so far.

I just got my first site up and going and I can relate to where you are....trying to figure out what to do next.

I can HIGHLY recommend a guy named He gives away a FREE ebook wiht videos on how to build a site from the very beginning and also has a newsletter that takes you through all the aspects from graphics on your site to traffic to all kinds of ways to promote and SURPRISE...he answers emails personally.

You'd be well off to check him out for all the "how tos" you need to get up and running.

    Hope this helps you out.

For beginners who absolutely want the simpliest way to get a site up and try and make some money with it, I think maybe start with google blogspot. It's free and you can get started without a domain or host.

But since you have domain and host, I guess if you want to get started, you might want to get one of those instant site makers. So all you do is supply a keyword and an adsense ID and it'll create a site for you. And as you learn more, you can customize further. Then convert that to a Wordpress site perhaps in the future.

Anyways, starting with those auto site building scripts is probably the easiest way.

If you don't know how to set up Wordpress there are tutorials on youtube this is a good place to start. Then you can choose a template that is if you already know what your product will be. Find you a good coach or membership site to show you the steps this will save you time. WP also has static pages if you don't want a blog. The 30 Day Challenge would be another good thing to do it's free and Ed Dale is a knowledgeable guy.

Its easy to install WordPress with SimpleScripts. If you have it, let me know and I will explain the steps. Then you can pick a theme (there are tons online) and install it, or use the basic WP theme. I just built a dozen sites and I am technically challenged. If I can do can you!

You have to first figure out what want to do. Do you want to create an affiliate site, flip sites, create an ebook? Once you figure that out you have to create your site. I would recommend wordpress which your host probably has available to you for free. Then write some good unique content, submit to article directories, take part in forums and comment on blogs. You can also do ppc if you have money to promote your new site.

I build Facebook Messenger Chatbots and Provide Training. Feel free to check out my demo bot

Well I see you have your site up, so now you get to go play in traffic. I am new but there is an absolute TON of info "out there" and in here as well.

It can get overwhelming, seems like everybody has a different take on what to do, and in which order.

I would strongly recommend a coach. Tons of them too, but talk to lots of different ones and you will get a pretty good sense of who "clicks" with you and where you are at, and what you are trying to accomplish.

    Hope this helps. Cathy

    Hi there!

I was EXACTLY where you are for the last 4 months. I bought eveything I could afford to help me get started in e-commerce. I really wanted to have my own business.

I tried Ebay with a little success. That takes a lot of time.

I paid Thousands of Dollars, really, for a 3 month class. Although it helped me, I still wasn't making any money. This is a true story.

Then, I came across the most efficient club for making money now. And, the coach is the most honest, helpful person I've met online.

One thing I would like to share with you is that most programs you buy leave out the "secret stuff". This club not only gave me the best instructional videos I've ever seen, it also gave me the real secrets to making everything work for me.

In one week, I went from thinking "WHAT AM I GONNA DO NOW????!!!" to "I know what to do next and exactly how to do it."

It's working for me. Maybe it will work for you. I didn't pay too much, and I got a 100% money back guarantee. I won't be asking for any of my money back.

I like being a member of such a cool club. Maybe you could check it out? Just click on Mack in my signature line.

I hope you are very successful.

    Steve T.

    Hi JNF,
What you need now is here -

My situation is slightly different, I know what to do with my domain and hosting but I'm stuck anyway.

I got very excited when I thought I've "digested" Dreamweaver... until I published my site. On Google I've got content of index page overlapped header and big gap between content and header on other pages. I understand that different height of headers on index and other pages causes the problem but Firefox doesn't recognise my site at all. I don't know how to sort it out. Any suggestions please.

    Many thanks in advance.
