Embed Wordpress inside a php page?

I don't want to redesign my standard html site and don't want to take the time learning how to create a custom WP theme. Is there any way I can just insert word press code into a php page. I already have wp installed in a sub directory of my website.

  • This isn't really possible, because Wordpress is a large CMS that requires the entire installation to be present. The presentation aspect of Wordpress comes from your theme, which is stored inside the themes folder inside of /wp-content/. Aside from the theme, Wordpress needs all of its core files, along with a database, to function. It isn't just a single file you can drop into an existing page.

    What are you trying to do with your site? Are you trying to implement blog functionality?

    • Thanks for the help. I just modified an existing theme to look sorta like my main site. I want to use wordpress to keep fresh content for SEO purposes.
