I am creating a site for a Lake Management Organization.

What they "think" they want is a photo of the lake with the water animated to show movement.

Has anyone here done this? Do you have examples?

What would be the cost?

    They used to do it with a java applet but nowadays think it can be done in Flash too.

    I think these are flash components for a flash designer. Not end user(swf file). You would need a flash programmer to finish it using your image.

    Yes that looks very nice. Other programs I have seen are not customizable and only reflect a horizontal line, while this lets you follow a shore line.

    But it does not tell what you need to have already. Like is photoshop required or will gimp or paint.net do?

    It says to email him if there are questions. I haven't seen how to do that yet.

    You will need the Flash program to finish it using your image. Plus the knowhow on using it.

      Any ideas on what it would cost to have someone do it? It would be on one picture on wordress. But I don't know yet whether they would want it as a header or on a page.

      They are a quasi government body so they may decide slowly.
