Guess this keyboard issue riddle for me plz
What does this keyboard issue mean?
I'm trying to get a vertical line and a backslash on a keyboard that doesn't have them.
Until recently I was able to do this by typing Alt + 192 and Alt + 266
However, I now cannot.
It may be because I recently installed a Virtual Box, and had to adapt the virtual box keyboard to my host's keyboard because the Shift + number series were giving weird results that belonged to other Shift + variations. But that wouldn't make much sense because the host's keyboard config wasn't changed.
The host is a Windows Vista, Spanish (International) keyboard it says in vista
A more graphic explanation of this problem is the numbers in the far right of the keyboard don't seem to work at all. The only one that does is the number 5, but not as a number. It merely spews out a right mouse click whenever it's in one of the two Blog Num variations.
Also, on the host whenever I press Alt and then any key, it gives me default Windows error sound.
On the guest, whenever I press alt in a browser it leaves the text area and highlights the 'File' menu.
I believe that's what the issue is. Haven't a clue what it means.
