URGENT Help Needed Please - How To Create Custom Wordpress Homepage in Existing Theme?!
Hi All

I have been going over and over the files within editor of wordpress admin and trying stuff...

The theme I use is as follows...

Plans For Sheds


You can see the little white area below the blue 'sub-header' area(and just above the footer area with 'copyright...)... that is where I want to add the landing/optin page info incl aweber form.

The theme has options within admin for standard about, features etc that are displayed when vinked in admin...I have turned all those off.

Normally within admin... Settings >> Reading >>... you can set the homepage as static page, choose 'frontpage and choose which page that was created (admin >> new page >> etc) to use for the homepage!

!!!That option does not exists when I look?!


Also when you have an optin template different from the theme you use for rest of site... how can you use it anyway to become the homepage/landing page of your site?!

Below is the info within the folder of this one page optin/landing page...

    WordPress won't accept HTML page. You will have to create a page in WP.

    If you are looking for your home page to be a sales letter or a squeeze page, you need to use a theme that supports custom page structures. I highly recommend the Thesis theme and use it for all of my sites. BTW, google loves this theme too.
