Putting a linked banner in a Wordpress column

Can you put a linked banner in a Wordpress column by simply putting the code in a text widget?

I'm doing that, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm just getting a blank generic icon.

  • Show me the code and I will help as yes you can do that. Be sure you are putting the direct path to the banner on your server

  • Yes you can: Here is the code:

    <a href="http://www.yourimagelink.com><img src="http://www.yourimagesourceadress" width="160" height="600" border="0" /></a>

    • I added the width and height and border as you stated, but now I have a thin black line outlining where the banner should be, with a tiny blank icon in the middle:

  • Yes, you should be able to.

The code you have in the sidebar is correct, but for some reason, it is automatically putting your domain in front of both the image location and the Clickbank hoplink.

I don't know why this is happening though, sorry.

  • Alternatively. Dont host it elsewhere and download the image and upload it and then link to it. Rules out issues with other place

  • yes, you can do that as TravisHarper showed
  • Glad it helped. If something dont work in wordpress. Take it into a wysiwyg editor like macromedia get it to work there first. Then change paths to full path on website.
