Tutorials - lynda.com has quite a few photoshop tutorials, and most are well put-together and professional, by professionals. Last I checked, their subscription price was $25/mo.

What are your intentions for Photoshop? If you're looking at using it for web graphics then I don't think getting images is going to be a big issue. In other words if you want to make headers and flashing arrows and "Buy Now" buttons then you don't really have to worry about getting images.

Photoshop is an excellent product, but it is very expensive and I think that you'd better use their Trial first in order to take control over it and then to buy it. They offer convinient 30 days trial. As far as for the images just go in any search angine and type "free stock images", "free photo gallery" or any similar keywords.

You can also get the academic version for very good price. If you yourself are not a student then you need a friend who is in school or a teacher or who has kids in school.

Look up "Academic Superstore" on Google. They have everything and good turn around. I bought "Adobe Production Studio" foe about $300 and it has a lot of stuff in it.

You can click photos on your own and can work on it. But still some pic are not available to us such as famous personalities. Then we need to buy them from their owner. There are small small free pdfs are availble on internet, you can download that.

If you search Google for stock photography, you'll find a list of great sites from BigStockPhoto.com to iStock.com less commercialized websites. You can also search for free stock photos and find surprisingly good photos available for free.

Lynda.com is awesome for teaching you about software and design-related topics. It's inexpensive and you can watch countless videos from their growing library.

For images I just found this cool site. No, it's not free, but so cool for Photoshop users. I almost don't want to share it. Graphicriver.com Check out the addon effects. This way you can make your images. They also have images you can buy at good a price. The other sites people told you about are great too. istock and bigstock are some others sites you should check out. Good luck

If there's a specific task/technique you're looking to accomplish. Simply google your best description of it (e.g., reflection effect in photoshop). I guarantee there's a free tut out there no matter how obscure your request.

I also recommend Lynda.com for learning. It's a good place to get a start with Photoshop (or any of the other programs they cover there). PSDTuts.com, also previously mentioned, is a good go-to resource once you know the basics - I think even their BASIX series is a bit much for someone just starting with Photoshop.
