Looks good - I think the main thing is split testing now. Use Google Website Optimizer to set up an A/B split test for alternative versions with different headlines / self-hosted video / no video.

If your budget allows it I'd recommend creating alternative versions using OptimizePress.

      Damnit OptimizePress is so tempting!!

Testing is the game plan, thanks for your comment

NOTE: The review below was for an earlier version of
the squeeze page. It's been updated since the
      comments below.

      Here's some observations...

      1. Headline

The headline does not currently dominate the page.

The headline is the first thing that people should see
so you get their attention. At the moment, the eye of
the visitor could be drawn to many other places - like
the video, the green opt-in bar, etc.

Make the headline be the first thing that people see.

      2. Video

In the video, you're already giving people some tips to
give them the type of information they want. So why
would they then want to opt-in to join your list?

Instead, consider using a screenshot of your video
rather than linking directly to YouTube (otherwise
they can 'leak' over to YouTube and not opt-in).

Test it to see, but I'd recommend using a squeeze
page to generate curiosity about the great information
you have on the inside... that they can only access
      once they opt-in.

      3. Busy

There are just too many text and graphical elements
going on at your squeeze page IMO.

Blue arrow, red arrow, no spam icon, multiple colors
      for text, green tick, etc.

      Often, less is more.

I had to scroll to view all of your bulleted text (and
      red text looks naff IMO).

I'd recommend fitting the main points of your squeeze
page above the fold so people can read it without
      scrolling.

      Dedicated to mutual success,

      Shaun

      • If the video had more of a hook at the end I think you'd see better conversions.

          Brandon.

I concur with most of what Shaun's said, though I don't think there's anything much wrong with the report cover graphic: I think that looks all right.

Just one thing that always "gets me" about some squeeze-pages, is the lack of JavaScript form validation on the page itself.

Whenever the button on the squeeze page reads "Download Now", I always click the button (and I suspect a lot of people might) in case I can get away with downloading the book without entering my details, even though I know it's not going to be possible. I suspect quite a few people do, actually, even less aware that it won't be possible.

Anyway, when that happens you're taken away from the squeeze-page to another site entirely (Aweber in this case) only to be presented with a rather ugly looking error-page, and it somewhat ruins the experience. And, I suspect, it leads some people to think "WTH? This isn't even a part of this person's site - why are my details being submitted elsewhere?".

You can avoid that, of course, by implementing some basic JavaScript form validation to ensure that a name and something that at least resembles a valid email address are entered into the respective fields.

I always make sure to use it, anyway. Just adds a finishing touch to the user-experience, I think, and cuts down on unnecessary unsightliness.

From the perspective of someone who is:
            1. completely inexperienced in squeeze page use
            2. has always seen "squeeze pages" as the internet form of infomercials (although I've been learning much more about them in recent weeks)

This is a nice, clean page I would actually consider.

I'm assuming I've visited after you made modifications per previous feedback.

Busy, clutter loses me - I have a very short attention span when browsing. I want the sales page to get right to the point!

You've done a fine job - not too busy, not too cluttered.

Okay, version #3 is up! Made some small graphic and text changes and created a separate page which people will be redirected after aweber confirmation email.

Here's the squeeze again: Squeeze Page

Here's the page after aweber confirmation: Confirmation Page

DireStraits: Good point! I'd like to implement some javascript but I can't seem to soak up the instructions on how to do it! Do you happen to have some simple code to share for this kind of thing?

            Much appreciated

            Brandon

Check it and see if the video is working.

    Thanks!
    Brandon
    Heading:
I think if you convert your heading from plain statement to question like
Want my free money saving methods....still let you enjoy spending it?
    will have more impact.

    Email collection part:
Instead of "simply enter you...amazing offer" you can make it "learn 8 simple things you must stop doing to SAVE money in this economy" something like this.

"Download now" button can be replaced by "Save my money Now!"

I must say Video is very good & must convert well. Only problem is it is showing google ads which can drive away your potential subscriber.

Split test your page with different combination..best of luck!

Yeah it looks great, just a couple of 'gripes'

    • Is that your video? cos if someone clicks it they could be taken to youtube & taken to someone elses offer You could 'borrow' this vid by using keep vid(dot) com and put a link back to your site.
    • I would put your value up a little. (x2)

      Hi Brandon,

I can see that you've been busy implementing a lot
of the recommendations that people mentioned earlier!

Your squeeze page now looks much better and fits
on one page without scrolling. Great.

There are only some minor adjustments I'd mention...

The 'Brendon Lamb presents...' with the white text and
yellow background is hard to read because of poor color
contrast. Plus, I'm not sure that it needs to even be there
in the first place. Take it off and make your headline be one
of the first lines to read.

The green graphic image is pretty small and hard to read.
You've got the graphic for the video too. I wonder if it
would be better to have just one image of the video. Test
      it and see.

You're asking for the first name and e-mail address. Usually,
you'll get more opt-ins if you ask for the e-mail only.

      Great job.

      Dedicated to mutual success,

You need to edit this..I understand what you're saying but the opening sentence needs tweaked

When I immediately land on the page my eyes should be drawn straight to your headline - this is currently not the case. I found my eyes being pulled all over the page because of your use of colors and images.

You really need to emphasize that headline a lot more and make it the dominant part of the page.
