Some Useful Free Tools (just sharing)
Just wanted to share this with fellow WF designers and programmers...
I could never find just the right tools for doing the most simple tasks... like measuring a region on a screen - or the width of an area or graphic. I know there are a lot of screen rulers and "calipers" out there - but they are clunky and corny, IMO... I don't want a big ass yellow ruler on top of my stuff... so I found some really simple, unobtrusive and USEFUL free tools that I use now every day - and I thought some of you could use them as well...
Here are three free most useful tools to take care of all our screen measurement, color finding, and screen capture needs!
(the only requirement is that you need Windows XP with .Net 3.5 framework - don't worry, if your Windows is up to date, then you've probably got .Net 3.5)
Rooler (a measuring tool that is small, simple and not corny)
Greenshot - a free and open source screenshot tool for productivity (an awesome screen capture tool - with editing capabilities like drawing arrows, circles, call-out text and blurring sensitive data)
Color Cop: about (although its kinda old, it is still a very effective color picker tool)
