It's hard to answer. I work with many CMS: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Mambo. But my favorite and the most popular among my customers are WordPress and Joomla. They are user-friendly, often upgraded, multifunctional, etc.

For the websites that I do these days I like WordPress, even though it's not really a "proper" CMS.

The last time I looked at doing something much larger I liked the look of Joomla.

I love TYPO3. It's capable of managing complex site architectures, allows for very granular user permissions, makes templating easy, and has well integrated multi-site/multi-domain/multi-localization capabilities.

Joomla simply because it's more relevant and it's one of the most popular, which means more community support and addons. Not to mention, it actually is a good CMS.

I'm ussually using wordpress for blogs, yes, because it so user friendly. But for my complex site (ex for my company site or my clients site) usually I'm using Joomla because it more customable and has tons extensions

Current philosophy is Wordress for...pretty much anything. Ecommerce with 20+ products, I would use Magento, but I'm not a Magento expert by any means.

I think I've tried most of them (Drupal, Wordpress, but for the passed couple of years I'm definitely a Wordpress fanboy. The immense community of the most talented designers and coders makes for the most awesome themes and plugins out there.

Tried them both... Joomla has tons of more features, more users, bigger developer community and is much more reliable, scalable, and secure.

I prefer for the Joomla. It is a best CMS for designers and administrators. They design a great looking website and it is really easy it use. Also, Joomla includes number of features and many more features are constantly improving from the past 3 years. However, the WordPres will not provide suitable workspace. Because, when the developers try to do some modifications, the whole system will be crashed. Hence, I prefer for the Joomla website.
