How does that look to you? Does anyone know how to make the links look better, or perhaps arrange them in a better fashion? I'm really new to the "design" aspect and I would like some advice or tips on making my site better.

not bad, apart from the PHP errors in the footer

You could try making those links in the content a bit bigger (because there's a whole lot of white space around it). Other than that, it's a fine theme!

Do you know how to do that using CSS? (editing the "a" class and such?)

I was going to say just create an Image for each link and use that image as your link anchor instead of text. Better yet, create one background image you always use for your links and load it in the custom CSS section of your theme.

Oh, thanks I wouldn't have realized there were errors there. Thats from the whassup plugin which tracks my traffic.

DPWeb, Do you suggest a certain image or set of buttons i could use? Also, how would I arrange them? Do I need to make buttons look like the ones on the nav-bar?

From a strictly aesthetic standpoint, I think it's a really solid and good looking design. I'd just make sure it's cohesive with some things like text alignment. I see a few links in the area for main content that are centered, I'd try keeping it left-aligned. Or possibly space them out on one line instead of on separate lines. Other than that just utilize a lot of that white space. White/negative space is actually really good in a site but so far I think you've got a bit more than necessary but I assume much of that will be filled with more content. I think it looks really good though, great job!

Plus: Decent design. It's a quite popular one.
Negatives: PHP errors and permalinks (bad SEO). "Oops, Need an Image."

could you elaborate?
I am still working on it, soon it should have some sort of image and i hope to get something that puts 5 newest posts relating to a specific tag.
What do you mean permalinks are bad SEO?

A well designed web site communicates and encourages communication.
Think about your site and begin with good planning, analysis and design work.
Navigation scheme must be logical and easy to use.
You can also do a research of web designs layout to create ideas.

From a design standpoint, I really like it. I would loose the gradient in the title though, it looks amateur because it reminds me of the illustrator/photoshop default gradient setting. Not quite subtle enough.

Great work!

It is good to have a custom layout or template because it gives your website its' own unique touch and leaves that in your viewers mind so they come back for more. If you don't have a custom template i have posted a link to a website below, that offers a wide range of custom templates free of charge. All you have to do is find one you like and download it.

hope ull find this tip interesting thanks

Make your ads in the sidebar blend with the colors of sidebar (grey color), it'll look better. A white background may reduce ad blindness but that will simply make the page look weird.

No font family structure.
No font size structure.
Scattered colours. I see red grey silver blue and black. Try to stick with 3 main colours.

What font are you using for the logo? I want to try something to see if I can improve it

Font Family Structure? What is that?

I think the logo is in Cufon with canvas or something like that. If you want to see if you can make it better go ahead I would appreciate it. I just might need a few instructions on how to implement it. I look forward to seeing what you are planning on doing.

I didn't build the theme, but I rather like the color scheme. The theme has the option to switch between maroon (current one), black, blue or green.

and is the blue in the "wire" part of the listwire logo, and occasionally the Adsense block that bad to have?

Rain, I was thinking about putting in a banner, but I don't really have any room for that up top.

The overall layout and style is OK.
Fonts is the main problem. All fonts can be inproved: menu, text, etc.
The Twitter link is huge and it visually contradicts with your logo.
Is it really that important for you?
The spot where you placed Adsense is not optimal either.
You are more or less on the right track.

I am not too good with PHP and HTML. I can identify functions, and remove or modify some of them, but I can't write anything from scratch. I don't really like it, do you know how to get rid of it or modify it? I would much rather take it off and color the little twitter bird and make THAT the link, then I would replace the large twitter thin with an RSS feed button or something.
Where would you suggest I place the adsense? IF you browse through the posts you will see that they have adsense bars in the middle and end of the post.

1.Have a custom layout/template. 2. Have your website content geared in a certain direction 3. Add interesting add-ons to your site. such as an "in-site search bar" and widgets. 4. Ask people to write reviews on your website. 5.Once you have followed these steps to making your website better overall, you will see that it can yield great results. __________________________________________________ __

• Hello, The site seems very "grey" to me. A nice texture on top of the text to go with a different gradient, possibly radial, would help the main title. A few layer styles to the text would give a bit more energy to the graphic. The header needs some balance on the right side other than the sticker. Too much white over there. The site looks good but to me it needs more energy. Thanks, Mike
