How to caculate the PR?

I know that the pr is very important for SEO. And the higher, the better However, i don't know how it come. How to caculate? Anybody knows?

    Google do the calculating but there is a fair amount of info on wikipedia that might help explain things better

    You need not to get stressed for this. Just try some well reputed online tools for getting PR of your site. Google analytic is the very best tool for getting PR as well as many other things.

    i've been running my site for a while now and since November last year I've been getting about 500-1000 unique visitors per day. However, the PageRank is still at 0, because there hasn't been a worldwide PR update for about 12 months.

    I wonder if Google ever decides to recalculate this. Although PR doesn't really mean much anymore, people still tend to put a lot of value in it, which makes running a PR0 site pretty hard... sucks!

    Pr counts but as you know since google doesnt like to update PR from last 10 to 12 months so you just have to focus on backlinking your website from high PR websites. So if google decides to give you a PR it would be great to have a good amount of backlinks, the more backlinks you have the more advantage of google love you would have.

    Google Pagerank (PR) is an index of value of web page used by Google search engine. Please note that PR goes to each individual page of web site, but not to the whole website. Every site has pages with different PR values.PR value is usually treated as site rank, which is not correct - that's website front page rank.Web page PR value is calculated out of number and rank of linking pages.

      Concentrate on building a good quality website. Spend some time on your SEO creating backlinks etc and your site should get ranked in the next google PR.
      May seems a popular month for an update but could be a bit soon after Jan's update.

    I think they calculate it by the number of traffic you gain in your website.
