Just want to make sure I don't do anything that goes against the rules of this particular forum, but...

Is there not a web designer on here that can fulfill my request?

Not looking for wordpress themes...
Not looking for a 650 pixel standard 2005 sales letter template...
Not looking for anything short of the eye candy shown on the original link I posted...

Is the lack of response here saying that only the guy who did that page knows how to do that stuff? Or is there a better way (or place) I should be asking this question?

The designers that can pull that off are likely already very busy. The technicals aren't so hard but the artistic side is a bit more rare. Good looking page.

I don't think it's that no.1 here can do it - but like Micheal said - we just stay super busy

There are tons of things I "can" do, but I pick and choose what I "will" do. Unfortunately, not all people will pay a designer for the extra time to create an artistic unique piece like this. In some cases, designers will pass on a project if they aren't going to get paid what their time is worth.

I can definately do something along those lines, the skill is not a problem, the problem is this; it takes lots of time to do something like this.

Your looking at artwork not the run of the mill graphics sales page. So what I am saying is that if the money is right, I would tackle the job and as long as someone didn't expect it to be done in a week or two, because thats not the only thing I would be working on.

I would consider doing something like this for in the range of $1,000 to $1,500, especially as I look at the details involved on this page.

That would include formatting or course but no sales copy writing. If you are interested we can talk...... Just PM me.....

$1,000 really? i have hired some pretty designers already and nobody charges me that much for just a simple design (that's really pretty easy to do for someone expert in photoshop) even my project includes custom illustrations of what i wanted. I looked at your site it looks pretty outdated and built during the 90's. It's looks crap! Before telling this and that and trying to be a master look at you site, sit back and take a look of what your site really looks like. I think you're just good at selling yourself/services maybe you should just be a copywriter

Did you even LOOK at the page he wanted designed?

It's not a bunch of crap PLR graphics thrown together on a page . . . that is custom illustrations.

If you think $1,000 to $1,500 is too much, you either:

1. Don't value your own time.
2. Don't know what you're doing.
3. Both of the above.

Your comment epitomizes the attitude of the majority on this site, they want something that looks like a million bucks for peanuts.

THAT is why serious designers and developers don't waste their time promoting themselves on this site.

If someone was serious about paying what the design is worth, they would either find out who the designer of the original page was or ask around for referrals. They wouldn't be posting for random people on the WF.

Guys I'm not sure you realize Vince's background and standing in the IM community. I certainly wouldn't worry that he's going to be unwilling to pay properly for high level design, or discount him as a professional. Just Google him before you make any assumptions and give him a hard time.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with coming to the WF looking for freelancers - we have some of the very best people operating right here. If I want to hire someone, I look here first too.

Btw that's certainly not easy for someone whose an expert in photoshop. I am an expert in photoshop and those are very high level illustration skills.

There's a lot going on there, and it looks to me like parts were drawn either with a graphics tablet, or right onto paper and then scanned in. There's a lot of texture use, and some very controlled application of custom brushes.

The of course you also have the time consuming manual processing of all the headline elements, highlights, images and so on.

In summary, it's major league work - very impressive.

I'd offer to help Vince, it looks like very fun work to go through, but it's not quite my style as I'm a WP theme person.

However, I can point you in the right direction.

If I were looking for someone with illustration skills like this there are two places I would go:

1. Graphic River - Layered Photoshop, Vectors, Icons and Add-ons From $1 - GraphicRiver
2. Deviant Art - http://www.deviantart.com/

I would browse through the work on those sites until I found an artist with the style I wanted. Then I would contact them through their profile to talk to them about projects.

Graphic River would be my first port of call because everyone there is a seller, while Deviant Art is a less commercial (sometimes anti-commercial) group of people. You'd probably be more likely to find someone through Graphic River that is business and marketing savvy.

The level of work you need is definitely very high, so I would skip the freelancing / outsourcing sites and go straight to a community of full time dedicated artists.

Just an FYI... some of you who have written to me really should think about focusing on what the poster is looking for.

I can't tell you how many people wrote showing me things that weren't even close to the example page I asked about. Of course I don't only mean not close in look, feel and theme, but in dimension of complexity as well. So many showed me examples that don't give me any idea if they can do what I request or not.

A few showed me just book covers or wordpress themes. Seriously?

If you can't show me you can do the job, should you really even bother writing?

The good news is 2 or 3 of you actually got it and will be getting my clients.

Glad you found your people. I certainly didn't mean to sound discouraging with my first post. I just know that people with those skills have plenty of work if they want it. It was a complement to the page in question.

Keeping track of Who's Who in internet marketing really isn't what I spend my time on. But my ire was directed at mayabang who obviously has no appreciation for talent.

You're right, there is a lot of detail on that page.

There are some people who are good across multiple disciplines, but they are rare. It is more likely to find someone to illustrate it and then someone else to code it.

So the answer is to either go with an agency that has experts in each area or contract the pieces out yourself.
