Subdomains... totally confused

WEB DESIGN

I've never even really considered using subdomains before, but I decided it might be useful to learn so I tried making one... So I just uploaded a single page called "index dot html" to the subdomain after creating it in cPanel. However, I have no idea how to find it. I thought it would be subdomain dot mysite dot com but that doesnt bring up anything. Can anyone explain to me how to get to a subdomain?

If you are having issues with the cPanel subdomains, make sure the subdomain is not a redirect. You may want to delete the subdomain and recreate it. Also, make sure the folder you want the subdomain to point to exists prior to creating the subdomain.

have a chat with the support team of youir host, maybe you have done some simple mistake there. make sure the subdomain points to your subdomain directory

your page should be in the folder named "whatever you called your subdomain" if it is not there your web host should be able to help you out.

@Alan a subdomain is for example forum.mysite.com the domain is www.mysite.com and the subdomain in this example would be "forum". You could also add the forum in this example as a directory/folder eg www.mysite.com/forum. A lot of people use subdomains for sites eg cameras.electronicsworld.com or for things like help desks, forums etc - I'm not a fan of subdomains and prefer directories
