What are the best design services

IF you want Wordpress so you can make changes to it your self and easily add content then i would look at the designers that StudioPress (Genesis) and Thesis recommend on their websites. Threre you will find the best designers who work with those 2 Wordpress frameworks

My site is based around XOOPS.
Can they do this ?

i want to mention again the the designer have to be an expert on seo, marketing, conversion rates etc..

How to find the best of the best web design services:

1. Google around and check if their portfolio/work samples are good enough for your requirement.

2. Spread the word to your friends/social network sites that you are looking for a website designer

3. Search forums as there is a great talent online using forums and also work less than usual rates

I'm not sure there really is such a thing as an expert on conversion rates.

I guess I think of conversion rates as a scientific process. A new design means you're starting from zero. Sure, you can mimic things that have worked well elsewhere, but a true "expert" on conversion rates is one who can test, observe, and tweak over and over again.

I just don't think it's an appropriate requirement when asking for a graphic designer.

I suppose that's not helpful at all... just a passing thought.

About conversion rate... well if he is not an expert.. at least know the basic.
like if putting a call to action button in a certain place... or using a certain layout etc... you know what i mean.

anyway i'd be glad if someone can recommend me a great designer

If you want someone who knows where to put the call to action buttons and so forth, look for someone who knows and understands web usability. I have taken several courses in this, as a requirement for my web design degree, but unfortunately do not know XOOPS. Just consider it an extra question during the "interview" so to speak.

In usability, we learn about where the user's eyes typically go on the page, the colors to use, and other ways we can construct the site to hold their attention long enough to get our point across for conversion. Get yourself an expert in usability, and you will have a much better shot at good results.

Sorry, I am afraid you are looking for them in the wrong place (here).

On this forum you will mainly find very cheap designers (?) who are "experts" in one CMS and know nothing else... (as you could see they don't even read your OP!!!)

You see, the problem is: the majority of IMers want dirty cheap WordPress sites - so the "designers" around here cater to them. Both the clients and the providers think WordPress is a website design tool (Yes, I can show threads for proof

). Nobody told them it is a CMS.

Maybe you need a team that has a good graphic designer and a good seo guy slash coder.

Yes you are spot on. i was not looking to hire sombody from here.
i just want advise on where to find the really good ones.. i did not want to have people selling their cheap design here. i dont want cheap...
im looking for a top quality and i have the budget, i just dont know where to find it.
