Quick Wordpress Question for Affiliates

Just a quick question surrounding some research I'm doing:

Are affiliates creating individual Wordpress accounts whenever they launch a new product, or are they using a single account and creating individual pages that can only be linked to a particular domain?

Thanks in advance for your help.

That sounds like you are thinking about creating sites (blogs) at wordpress.COM - that's the place you "create accounts".

I would strongly recommend NOT to use wordpress.com for commercial purposes - read their TOS before they delete all your efforts...

Install your own copy of Wordpress on your own domain. Wordpress.org is where you get it. I've noticed that sometimes people starting out get confused because they hear people say use Wordpress so they type in wordpress.com. For wordpress affiliate sites, if you're a newbie it's good to use Simple Affiliate Theme.

      Thanks for the replies, guys!

Rather than looking to create sites, I'm trying to gather information on how marketers use Wordpress to make their squeeze and landing pages.

I've considered trying my hand at affiliate products in the past and may actually have a go at it in the future. However, I'm primarily a writer and understanding how marketers (my main source of work) operate helps me to improve my services.

Internet research, as always, is littered with conflicting ideas and opinions. It makes sense to talk to Warriors first; straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.

Again, thanks for the input. Highly appreciated.

A squeeze page or a landing page is a website, if it has its own domain name. It might be a single-page site, but it's still a site.

If you are selling or promoting a number of different products, it makes sense to buy individual domain names related to each product. You can host all of these domains on a single hosting account (by using add-on domains), and you can install a new Wordpress blog on each domain. The blog can contain only a squeeze page, or a squeeze page and related content, whatever you like.

You could put a bunch of squeeze pages on a single domain, but that doesn't work as well for SEO and promotion, IMO.

I'm sure there are Wordpress themes that are designed to look like the typical squeeze page; just google for them.

        Hope this helps.
