Simple Affiliate Theme makes it easy to use adsense, but its not really for blogs. More for mini-sites, landing pages, squeeze pages. etc.

      shaunchu,

Scott Blanchard's Click Bump is one good answer. Just do a Google search for Click Bump. He has a theme specifically set up to address AdSense. Easy to implement, it's a cookie cutter theme.

I do not know what he sells the thing for.. probably not cheap, but think of the time you will save. Hallelujah! Ahem...

On the other hand, 2010 is not that hard to tweak to suit AdSense just fine.

      Good luck, hope that helps.

There are plugins that will show AdSense in any self hosted WordPress theme, so in reality all themes are adsense ready.

In the sidebar you can drop in a text widget and paste your adsense code, you are limited to three adverts per page, so look for a adsense content plugin, add just two blocks one that displays in top of the post and the other in the sidebar.

Test these with a few free themes then choose one for your website, then all you need to do is add content that will keep visitors and generate the trafffic.

Google have a heat map for placing adverts, and I wrote a post a couple of months ago, there are downloads of different Twenty ten child themes for the different adSense layouts.

As I do not have 15 posts yet, visit my website from the profile link and on page two there is a post "Twenty Ten and AdSense".

You just need to keep one thing in mind when configuring adsense for blogs.

It should be left to the content and size of 300x250 - header banner of 468x60 should be there.

Also place one banner size of 300x250 in sidebar

Most important thing you need to choose both image and text format. dont rely on just one format.

Lastly - let the traffic do the trick for you
