Web 2.0 Designer .. Not For Hire?

Hi guys,

I have been struggling to find a great web 2.0 designer to build a site for me.
I found some, but their design ain't good and most are not " Web 2.0 " type of design.
I don't really need a firm to do that for me, but rather just a freelancer.
Wonder if anyone here knows of anybody who can do that for me or refer me to the designer ?

Thanks!
-Nicholas Ho

By Web 2.0, do you mean shiny and with interactive drop-down/open-across navigation menus etc?

The reason not many people are willing to do this is because it requires a lot of talent and hours of coding using many different languages.

However, send me a quick design brief through private message of what you need doing and any ideas you have for the website and i'll let you know whether i'm capable or not

You can refer to cssremix.com to get what Web2.0 design feels like.
But I don't actually need a form to do it, a freelancer will be good.

    =)

Darren is a fellow Warrior and does some jam up work.

You may also contact me for web 2.0 design, Hosting, Ecommerce design, SEO and Drop Shipping outsourcing .However if you need hosting then it is likely possible that I could do the design for free at some point.

So either you choose Darren or you choose to work with me. The choice is all yours. I hope you can stop crying now and instead take some action.
I don't see any of your design at your site.

    Hi Nicholas,

Feel free to take a look at my portfolio to see some of the work I've done.

If it's not got the Web 2.0 feel you're looking for (and I understand where you're coming from - most of my work is more "corporate") - do still get in touch, as I regularly keep contact with a number of web designers who've created some pretty good Web 2.0 style sites.

argh....bothers me when "web 2.0" gets thrown around.

"Hey look shiny graphics...must be web 2.0".

No, Web 2.0 is simply a coined phrase which really just breaks down to being in a web era that has implemented Social networking into the mix. Once myspace, facebook, etc... started coming out people starting saying Web 2.0. Those sites happened to come out as a new "design" phase of the web was starting to take root specifically web standards, but then adding the "shiny" buttons, the giant vector like graphics, the bright colors, etc...

By 2010 - 2011, there will be a new direction I am sure and even a new design style.

Grunge seems to be a style that is popular right now, and some people are moving away from the bright and "shiny" buttons.

absbica is right, web 2 it's how the social networks are referred as..
I'm fond of clean design, easy to read, please the eyes, I don't like strong colours, they can get attention, but if the website is filled with strong colours it can be hard to read... black background with white font is awful for instance.. make people dizzy.
