move from wordpress to html?

Hello, I have some sites on wordpress structure(paid hosting) and I was thinking about moving them to a html setup because I want google to see my sites as normal ones.
My question is for people who have already done this:
What happens to my rankings when I do this. I assume the site will drop for some time and then regain its' original place maybe even better due to the normal html structure.

Has anyone done this? What has your experience been like?
Thanks for the help.

  • You want to redirect all your pages using a 301 redirect so that you don't lose your traffic

  • For Google, there is no difference between a WordPress-based site and a HTML site. In both the cases, the final page is HTML.

    • I've tried this before in a different platform and based on my personal experiences, it depends on many things: -

      1) How fast you migrate from Wordpress to HTML.
      2) How many backlink do you have.
      3) How regularly you update your site.

If you maintain the same URL (including the internal page), your website should have no problem maintaining the ranking. Yes, if you change the URL of your post, the site will drop for some time and then regain its' original place.

But let me honestly tell you, if you're doing this because you're hoping to get better ranks on the search engine, you should think twice because it won't make much different. Hope this will help.
    • Correct. There is no SEO advantage for one or the other, whatsoever. Additionally, using Wordpress, like any other CMS, has many advantages over maintaining a static web site.

    • Why do people think that wordpress is more "search engine friendly" then?
  • I think you should remain on Wordpress, it's more safe. Build quality backlinks and then you'll improve your rankings without HTML.
  • What's the point?
  • i dont think it matter
  • Completely Possible you can run dual installs I do for my own Site.

I can help if you need it

  • Just go to the plugin section and type this in the plugin search .html on PAGES
This plugin will put .html on all of your wordpress pages. While in that section also search and add the following plugins Google XML Sitemaps, SEO Ultimate, Google Analyticator. From there just post good content, at least 2-3 articles a day with pictures(named after your keywords), 2-3% keyword density, 500-100 words long, Keywords in H1 and H2 tags, and a couple of bolded and underlined keywords as well. Video will get you there as well. i recommend Animoto.com(make sure to put your keywords in the title and the description and include the money site url in the description as well. You'd still need some backlinks I'd SENuke it with the Best spinner if I had the money. I think SE Nuke has a seven day free trial, but without the best spiner you'll be posting the same article to a lot of places, unless you spin it your self. But like most I don't think it matters on the .html , however you are taking a step down by going a way from WP, IMO

  • Spend more time exploring Wordpress. You might be surprised what's possible to do with Wordpress in terms of SEO.
  • Yea I would stay with wordpress! From testing, wordpress has out rank a standard page 90% of the time.
  • Because it makes it easy for people who don't know what they're doing to use SEO as much as the next guy.
  • Comparing the power of Wordpress to HTML,I go to Wordpress simply because this new cms style in the web helps people to lessed their burden in web development, cause they allow users to design the whole site using the CMS type styling also premade themes that captures one's eye.Wordpress also has the capability of enhancing your traffic unlike HTML static, It like a raw meat(static HTML) vs a fully cooked meat with dressings(Wordpress).
  • just don't do it! seriously, you'd be putting in all that effort for you only to make it WORSE for you!!
