WEB DESIGN

Hi,

I've just launched a new website and would much appreciate your valuable and honest feedback.

Webifieds.net is a classifieds website for internet-related classified ads (or in otherwords, classified ads for anything online).

I would appreciate your feedback on the design and usability of the site, but also on the idea and the name (by the way, Webifieds comes from Web + Classifieds).

  Perhaps putting something up on the side bar temporarily before you get some ads would balance out the layout. A bit too empty on the side for now.

It would be useful to know there wasn't anything in a category before clicking to go there to find out:

* Legal Services (0)
* Proofreading (2)

The topic for the site is very broad, how are you going to get traffic. Its doesn't seam to be aimed at any niche in particular.

the big banner to the right that reads "Its free to advertise" is an image, which conveyed to me that the ad that would be posted would also be an image. During the post an ad process there is no location to upload or link to an image, and instead the description is used as the ad text.

That was surprising.

Nice work. Clean website. You can make it even better by adding more
interactive pages to it.

Just one note, your site needs be high pr to make it competitive.
You might need hiring a SEO agent to get your site ranked better.

  What is it written in and were you involved in the programming? I'm a Rails and PHP developer, so I'm curious.
  
  How do you plan on differentiating and attracting user interaction? I have a feeling some people here might have ads to post. How else are you going to get the word out?
  
  How do you plan on making money with it?
