Hey fellow warriors,

I would like to start this thread to see how common is the problem of "webhosting getting suspended due to some hacking/phishing attack" on your websites or account.

I have seen it happening many times, mostly its my clients, when their account get suspended, first thing they do is to call me and then our work starts to correct the problem and get back websites online as soon as possible.

Now we are working on a tool to detect the start these kind of events(hacking/phishing) as soon as possible to avoid facing the DOWN time of sites....

How many of you have faced these kind of similar things ?? how many times you faced these situations ??
Are you willing to join as for our free service ??

    How does your tool work?

As the owner of a hosting company, I can say that we have never shut down an account because it was hacked.

However I have shut down accounts for running phishing sites on them as it violates our AUP. I've also suspended accounts that run proxy servers on our shared hosting plans because that's against our AUP as well.

Yes normally hosting company does not shut down account, but some accounts which face these kind of issues 3 time in a short span of time, then bluehost shuts account.

Our tool is still in design phase , but along with detecting suspicious activity we planning to focus on notifying the user with SMS/PHONE(recorded message) so that user is informed on priority and action can be taken soon....

How does it work? What does it look for?

I have a bash script I built which does some detection, but it doesn't auto-suspend or take any kind of action because there is a lot it could misinterpret as being a problem. So what logic does your program use?

How does it suspend accounts? Are you making it compatible with all the major panel platforms or something? I.e. cPanel, Webmin, Plesk, etc.
