The footer can normally be edited by making changes to footer.php in the wordpress theme. This can get a little technical depending on what you want to do, I'm happy to help create a theme for you that has all the elements and widgets in the places you want. Let me know if you're interested or want to know more. Also what's you web URL might be able to provide more info if I can see your site. Cheers Harry

They are probably using a widget, or sort of a fat type footer, it is a popular method, these days.

that one looks like they are using a fat type widget,

In your WP dashboard, if you go to Appearance > Themes > Install Themes and search using just the word "footer," I think you'll see several themes with the kinds of footers you're describing. Ahimsa -- somewhat similar to the site you linked to -- is just one among three pages of themes that have feature-style footers or custom footer options.

Frankly, if you're not nervous about experimenting with code, you could borrow the footer.php from a theme you like and paste it into the theme you're using. (Completely replace the footer.php.) Worst case, you'll have to reinstall your original theme.

You could also see if the designer of the theme you're using has a free or inexpensive theme with the footer you'd like. Often, designers work from one basic design concept, and later themes' elements can be swapped out.

Or, if you're using a theme you really like and it comes with good (or free/reasonable) support, you can show the theme designer what you'd like and get an estimate on whether that can be added to your site.

Most probably a theme that supports widgets in the footer.
