Make a WordPress Theme - Help?

Hi Fellow Programming Warriors,

I really want to make a wordpress theme. Nothing fancy, it's just for making iFrame tabs in FaceBook.

What I should have:
- Easy to edit Menu
- Some code in there so it won't explode in Facebook
- Be 510 width
- Fields where you can modify the colors

Anyone knows if this is doable for me (I know the html &css basics and can read code by which I mean: I can modify a theme slightly.), or should I look for someone to do it?

  • Only you can answer your question. No one know what you can do an what you cannot. If you know WordPress, go ahead and create your own theme.
  • Its doable but like xtrapunch said - only you know your abilities. So if you ok with digging into PHP and understand how Wordpress works then you can do it.

  • Wordpress is simply!!
  • It's a must that I can easily edit the colors and stuff in the admin area from Wordpress.
    So if I want to change to background color to black, I just put in the colorcode from black and it'll change.

    Could someone do this / help me?
