Problems with upgrading wordpress

When I upgrade or install wordpress to version 3.1.2, I in my posts and my pages the Excerps, Send Trackbacks and the Customs Fields. I tried it several times. Can please somebody advice and tell me how to fix it.

    They aren't "lost" - they are simply hidden.

    Toward top right of your Admin panel there is a "screen options" tab - open that and check which options you want on view.

    • I agree, look at the top of your pages in the dashboard and see the tab hanging down that says "Screen Options" open and tick the check boxes for the items you want to be displayed. Do this for each of the dashboard tabs you go under to reset them all. Like under pages, posts, and so on.
  • This is actually very scary for novice users. I also had to put some brain into finding the hidden screens when I upgraded to the said WP version. Users should have been alerted about this before upgrade.
