Good day!

I was looking for a good free text/code editor and chose this one.

RJ TextEd - The Unicode source and text editor

If some experienced warrior/warriorette could quickly validate my choice, that would be so great!

    Hey Valli,

    Never tried RJ TextEd but I've been using Notepad++ for years and it has been great. Its very popular too so you might want to check it out before you settle for this one. Notepad++ is free as well.

    I use EditPlus.. it has a one time fee of $30 but it is worth it. EditPlus is a text editor, HTML editor, PHP editor, Java editor and Hex Viewer for Windows. While it can serve as a good Notepad replacement, it also offers many powerful features for Web page authors and programmers.

    I have been using editplus for years now. I use it for everything including programming and quick text editing. It's worth the small fee they charge for the full version.

    Been using Notepad++ for years, it's great and simple, won't take much time to load either. And today I figured out that there is code hinting feature as well.

    Play with a few, see what they do.

    Maybe start with a non-advanced editor so you can appreciate an advanced one when it comes along.
