Transfering Wordpress Blog To Another Hosting

Here is my story

Hi, I recently felt the heavy hand of using free domain names as well as free hosting services.

I got free domain names, hosted them on free hosting services, built the blogs and after more than 3 years, I was thunderstricken when I discovered that the free domain provider has blocked certain hosting services including mine.

I still have access to the data bases and the domain names so I downloaded the databases, updated the nameservers to other hosting services and installed wordpress on them, imported the databases but the blogs will not work.

Please I need somebody to help me by telling me how to go around this problem. I tried to open the databases in order to see and edit them accordingly but I don't know what to change.

PLEASE HELP!

  Unfortunately, I did not install the wp-importer plugin. The problem is I can not even login to the dashboard. The only access I have is through the cpanels of the hosting services.
  
  I understand I have to make some changes in the sql files but my problem is What and how to change?

  I would speak to or email your hosting provider and see if they offer a reasonably priced option for you to keep your sites with them. Otherwise it sounds very messy and time is money.

Many hosting services offer a site import service. You could backup and clear out everything on your current server and ask your hosting provider to import your site.

Alternatively, if it's a WordPress site, you could install the backupbuddy plugin and do it that way.

  So, I'm downgrading my hosting, all I need to is a full site backup? How do I load it up to the new hosting?

wp-config.php file needs to be updated with new paths and paswwords to database - its still using the old ones! If you don't know how to change the values - see youtube videos or hire someone to do it for you!
