Any recommendations for website templates that are user-friendly to desgn, have a professional look, and are not too expensive.

Thanks

I am not sure what kind of site you are trying to setup by I use StudioPress for almost all of my websites as well as my clients. They currently have 38+ high quality templates to choose from.

Nice job with the shameless affiliate link.

I would recommend themeforest(google it) <-- i cant post a link yet because i am not a big boy yet.

They are much cheaper and they are much much better than studiopress.

Yes, I did include an affiliate link. However, this doesn't change my recommendation. I have used StudioPress Templates for almost every one of the websites I have developed over the last 2 years.

Not only are there templates awesome but they have build upon the solid Genesis Framework. Therefore, when the framework gets updated for compatibility with WordPress or other security updates your child theme runs along fine without getting messed up.

Personally, I like StudioPress because of their templates but also their support. Each purchase includes lifetime free access to the StudioPress support forums. The support forums are the place to go with any questions you may have while getting your sites setup. The forums are frequented by highly skilled theme developers that know way more about developing sites than the normal individual. I have learned so much from these forums over the last several years that the $299 (all 38+ SP themes plus any new themes are created) investment was well worth it.

I am sure there may be decent free themes or even some other cheaper themes online but you can't beat the value of SP themes. I can't recommend any other themes though as I have never used them. I choose to go with StudioPress along with the other 50,000+ users and never looked back.

If you're looking for wordpress templates there are numerous ones out there that are nice. From free ones to paid I've used solostream, studiopress and the flexability theme which is free.

I'm using a piece of website design software at the moment called XSitePro which has some great templates that come with it and there are more available online. I can't post links yet but if you google "XSitePro Templates" they will come up!

I suggest you use Wordpress, and get professional templates from:
    Elegant Themes
    Woothemes

You have to pay though to get the templates, but the membership fee is quite affordable

Themeforest is excellent. I also like WooThemes, their Canvas theme is quite flexible and they offer many other themes including a few decent free ones.

Themeforest has a huge selection though, so it's hard to go wrong there, especially if you don't want to do much site building.
